◎ What You Need to Doupon Issuance of Work Permit
取得聘僱許可後應辦事項
1. VISA 簽證
If you were approved to issue a work permit by the Council of Labor Affairs (CLA), you need to apply for a visa through Taiwan’s representative office stationed in your country; or if you are already in Taiwan, you need to apply for a status change of visa through Bureau of Consular Affairs. Working hours of BOCA: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (open for noon, closed on Saturday,Sunday and national holidays). Please check related information at the website www.boca.gov.tw.
＊The duration of stay of Visa-Exempt Entries and Landing Visas for Foreigners is 30 days.The duration of stay starts from the next day of arrival and is not extendable. Visa-Exempt Entries and Landing Visas cannot be transferred into visitor visas or resident visas within ROC.
若您已經獲得勞工委員會核發聘僱許可，應於入國工作前至我國駐外單位辦理簽證；若您已先行入國，應向外交部各地領事事務局辦事處換發簽證。領務局辦公時間：週一至週五08:30-17:00（中午不休息，週六、週日及國定假日不上班）
＊外國人免簽證及落地簽證停留期限為30天，自抵達翌日起算期滿不得延期及改發停留簽證或居留簽證。

2. Alien Residence Certificate(ARC) 外僑居留證
You need to apply for an alien residence Certificate within 15 days uponarrival. Please bring necessary documents to apply to the Foreign AffairsDivision of your local police authority.

3. Taxable Income, Tax Deduction and Tax Refund薪資所得與扣稅、退稅
If you worked in Taiwan for less than 183 days in one fiscal year (January 1 to December 31) then you shall be paying the tax as a non-resident, which is equivalent to 20% of the taxable income. If you entered Taiwan for more than 183 days (or if you entered Taiwan before July 1 and did not leave the country anytime within the year), of if you have stayed in Taiwan for 183 days in the preceding year and are continuing your residence, then you shall be considered as a “resident” and shall be taxed 6% to 40% of your taxable income.
您如於同一課稅年度（1月1日至12月31日）內在台合法工作居留未滿183天者，係以「非居住者」身分課稅，應繳所得稅金額為您薪資所得的20%；如您於同一課稅年度內在台工作居留滿183天（例如於當年度7月1日以前入境，中途未離境者）、或於上一年度在華居住已滿183天，繼續居住至次年度者，係以「居住者」身分課稅，應繳交所得稅為您薪資所得的6%-40%。

1. Health insurance 健康保險
All foreign workers who carry alien residence Certificate are required to carry health insurance. As to health insurance questions, please check related information at the website http://www.nhitb.gov.tw;TEL: (02)2191-2006.
所有領有外僑居留證的外籍工作人員，都要參加全民健康保險。有關全民健康保險問題可至中央健康保險局網站查詢，網址：http://www.nhitb.gov.tw; 電話: (02)2191-2006。
2. Labor insurance 勞工保險
If you are employed at a business unit with more than five workers, you are insured under employer, or group hired, or organization affiliated; for information, please check with website at http://www.bli.gov.tw;TEL:(02)2396-1266.
您受僱於僱用勞工5人以上之事業單位，應以雇主或所屬團體或所屬機構為投保單位，參加勞工保險。勞工保險局網址：http://www.bli.gov.tw; 電話：(02)2396-1266。
3. Labor right 勞動權益
While you work in Taiwan,if you have interrogations or disputes about labor contract or labor rights,you can file for counseling, mediation or arbitration from local labor authority in every city or county government. 您在台工作期間，如有關於勞動契約或勞動權益方面之爭議或疑義時，可逕向各縣市政府勞工單位申請諮詢、調解或協處。有關勞資爭議相關法規可查詢行政院勞工委員會網站，網址：http://www.cla.gov.tw; 電話：0800-380-038。
◎Laws and Regulationsand Penal Provisions Concerning Employment 有關工作之法規及罰則
1. While working in Taiwan, if you are engaging in any of following behaviors, your permit will be terminated, and you will be ordered to leave the country within due days
您在台工作期間如有下列情形之一者，將予以廢止聘僱許可，並限令期限出境。
(1)Work for any one other than employer who applied for your work permit;
為申請許可以外之雇主工作。
(2)Any work other than assigned by your employer;
非依雇主指派即自行從事許可以外之工作。
(3)Absent from work for three consecutive days without reasonable causes;
連續曠職3日失去聯繫。
(4)Refuse undergoing physical examination, and/or provide false information about physical examination, or fail to pass physical examination;
拒絕接受健康檢查或提供不實檢體、健康檢查不合格。
(5)Violate, in serious behavior, any rules and regulations prescribed under Employment Service Act;
違反就業服務法所訂定之法令，情節重大者。
(6)Violate, in serious behavior, any other laws and regulations under Taiwan legal system.
違反其他中華民國法令，情節重大者。
2. Other related rules and regulations 其他有關聘僱之規定
(1)Should your employment contract expires or terminates, you need to leave the country immediately;
聘僱許可期間屆滿或經勞雇雙方終止聘僱時，應立即出境。
(2)Foreigners employed at cram schools are required to undergo physicalexamination. Those who are employed otherwise are required as Department ofHealth determined.
外國人受聘僱從事補習班教師工作，必須接受健康檢查，從事其他工作則依衛生署公告規定辦理。
(3)Work without permission will be punished carrying dollar amounts offine of at least NY 30,000 dollars, and up to NT 150,000 dollars; and you willbe ordered to leave the country within due days, and will not be allowedre-entry.
未申請許可即從事工作，得處罰新台幣3萬元以上15萬元以下之罰鍰，並限令出境，不得再入境工作。
